Every child deserves the opportunity to grow, learn and thrive. The Save a Heart, Save a Child initiative reflects the desire of our parish youth to respond with compassion to families facing the challenges of childhood heart disease.
A Mission Rooted in Compassion
Some children are born with congenital heart conditions that may require specialist assessment, ongoing care or medical procedures. Alongside medical challenges, families can face emotional and financial pressures. Acts of generosity and community solidarity can help them feel supported on that journey.
The parish's Yuvajana Sakhyam conceived this initiative as a practical expression of Christian love, combining awareness, collective effort and responsible stewardship.

How the Initiative Began
Originally undertaken by the Yuvajana Sakhyam as a Silver Jubilee project, Save a Heart, Save a Child sought to raise support for children with congenital heart disease.
One of its early fundraising efforts involved youth members visiting parish households to collect used newspapers and books. The proceeds were directed to the initiative's fund. This simple, resourceful effort demonstrated how small contributions could come together in support of a compassionate purpose.
