Our Biblical Foundation

“As for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.” — Joshua 24:15

These words remind us that a Christian home is built on faith, prayer and a shared desire to follow God's ways. Family Sunday offers an opportunity to reflect on how we can nurture these values in our homes and in our wider church family.

Faith Begins at Home

Families are places where children and adults learn kindness, patience, forgiveness and responsibility. Through everyday conversations, prayer and acts of compassion, we can pass on the hope of the Gospel and encourage one another in our walk with Christ.

One Parish, Many Generations

  • Worship together: Give thanks to God and seek His blessing for our homes and relationships.
  • Strengthen family bonds: Make time to listen, encourage and care for one another.
  • Honour every generation: Value the wisdom of elders and the gifts of children and young people.
  • Extend our fellowship: Remember those who live alone, are far from loved ones or need the support of the parish community.

A Prayer for Our Families

Heavenly Father, bless our homes with Your peace and presence. Teach us to be patient in difficulty, generous in love and steadfast in faith. Help our parish family to welcome, encourage and care for every person. May our words and actions reflect the love of Jesus Christ. Amen.
